October 3rd is Picture Day- U6 Division will play ALL GAMES at 2:00pm at Gabrielino HS.

AYSO Region 40 – Fall Season 2009
U-6 Rules
 
  Coach Prerequisites
-  Completed 2009 AYSO Volunteer Form
-  Safe Haven for Coaches Course
-  U-6 Coach Course
  Players
-  5 or 6 players per team
5 year olds
  Game Format
-  4 versus 4 on field; no goalkeepers
5 minute quarters; 2 min quarters breaks, 5 minute half-time
Score is not kept; both teams win; large goal differentials are discouraged
  Everyone Plays
Every player must play at least 2 quarters
No one plays 4 quarters unless everyone plays 3
 
  Referees
1 coach from each team may stay on the field to coach and referee.
U-8 Referee Course recommended
No more than 2 volunteers allowed on the field
  Field Setup
At least 2 volunteers from each team playing the first game of the day need to arrive 45 minutes before the game to set up the goals and paint the lines
Teams playing the last game of the day on a field must put away the goals and corner flags
  Required Volunteers
To receive your team’s uniforms, please identify these volunteers and turn in a list with contact information:

Field Setup Coordinator
  Restarts
1) Kick off at start and 3rd Q
2) Drop ball in case off foul or safety issues
3) Throw in to restart game after ball goes out of play
4) Any ball that crosses the goal line - restart with a goal kick (does not matter which team kicked the ball out --- award a goal kick to restart play
