U12 Game Notes for Fall 2009
U12 Referee Requirements for Fall 2009:
For U12’s regional games-
- Home team provides certified center ref
- Visitor provides two AR’s
- Interlock regions know this also
- Referees can choose to referee using the diagonal method if not enough referees are available.
- If the teams cannot field a referee, Coaches become referees and perform diagonal method of refereeing.
- Coaches must agree prior to the game whether they will coach while refereeing on the field.
- AYSO is a a volunteer organization and ALL Parents are required to volunteer in some capacity.
Field Notes:
• 1st game of the day sets up
• Last game of the day tears down
• Home team is on the North/West side of the field
• Visitor is on the South/East side of the field
• Please make sure no trash is left behind
• Bring a copy of the schedule with you (have your team parent print and bring one)
Parents:
• All parents must adhere to the “Kidzone” rules when attending AYSO games.
• No yelling at the referees (if you do, the referee has the option to throw you out of the game, end the game or recruit you as a new referee for the game)
• No smoking on the fields
• No using foul language at the games
• No coaching from the sidelines
• No animals on the field (this one is an AYSO rule)
Other Reminders:
- Bring your game cards. Turn is score cards at snack bar.
- No player plays 4 quarters until everyone has played 3 quarters.
- Goal keeper can play 2 Qtrs on goal and at least on one field.
- Goalkeeper must wear different color jersey. Use an old different color jersey or pinnies.
- Ball is a Size 4 ball.
- No hair pins or jewelry on the kids while playing.
- Socks must cover shin guards.
- U10 Game time is two 25 minute halves. Not 4 12.5 minute halves.
- U12 game time is two 30 minute halves. GK 3 on goal plus 1 on field or 2 + 1.
- 5 minute half time.
- Scores could end in tie
- If it is hot make quarters are used for hydration.
- Home on North/West
- Visitor on South/Eas t
- 1st game sets up
- Last game tears down.
